GRITipedia serves as an archive of information relating to the Global Ranma Insanity Thread, a long-running interactive RPG/fanfic set (loosely) in the universe of Ranma 1/2, about six years after the end of the manga. Formerly of the newsgroup rec.arts.anime.misc, GRIT moved to its own group some years ago, and can now be found at YahooGroups. It's also a replacement for the now-defunct Official GRIT Page, which is no longer being updated.

Continuity
GRIT is now home to two separate continuities. The first is simply called "GRIT", or "original continuity" if there's a need to distinguish. The second is "GRIT Begins", a sort of OAV-esque "reboot" take on the original GRIT concept. An attempt to offload some of the baggage that built up during original GRIT's extensive continuity, it's a new storyline set in a more general "Rumicverse" (a generic world based on Rumiko Takahashi's works) rather than in Ranma 1/2 itself.
